Reflexology
What
is Reflexology?
It is
a complementary therapy with it’s origins in a 5000
year old healing treatment practiced in Egypt, China and Japan
It is designed to stimulate the body’s inherent ability
to balance and heal itself with the systematic application
of manual pressure to the reflexes of the feet. These correspond
to every organ, gland and part of the body.
Reflexology is suitable for all ages. It may bring relief
from a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
Gentle, calming treatments relax and relieve tensions resulting
from stress, thereby freeing the body to heal.
For many doctors, consultants and other health care practitioners,
reflexology is a well established, respected complement to
preventative and rehabilitative health care.
A session usually leaves the recipient with a feeling of deep
relaxation and well-being.

What
can I expect during a treatment?

or referrals to another therapy may be offered at this time.
The treatment itself is given as you lie on a massage table.
Supports are provided to reduce stress to the neck, shoulders
and lower back while you are in this position.
Except for your feet, you will remain fully clothed throughout
the treatment
A light blanket will ensure comfort as hand pressure and massage
are applied to your calves and feet.
